U.S. Women’s Clobbers Costa Rica 6-0

COSTA RICA SPORTS NEWS — Abby Wambach, international soccer’s all-time leading scorer, posted a first-half hat trick Sunday and finished with four goals as the U.S. women’s national team clobbered Costa Rica, 6-0, to win a seventh CONCACAF championship and continue a near-perfect reign in the region’s World Cup qualifying history. Both teams had already secured berths in next summer’s global tournament in Canada.
