An earthquake register 5.0 on the Richter scale shook Guanacaste this morning, in the area of Sardinal, in Carrillo, that takes in the area of Playas el Coco and Playa Hermosa.
According to the UCR earthquake lab, the epicentre was located 25.8 kilometres northest of Sardinal, at a depth of 85.6 kms.
The quake occurred at 11:28am.
Reports say that the tremor was felt throughout most of Guanacaste. No reports of damages or injuries.
