QCOSTARICA – Costa Rica’s national beer “Imperial” will begin to appear in Switzerland this month, announced Wednesday the Cerveceria de Costa Rica.

The beer company, a divisionof Florida Bebidas with other products such as Crystal water, Muu milk and Pepsi products, among others, said it will make its first export of 17,000 bottles of beer, to be sold in major bars and restaurants in the European country.

The director of Corporate Relations at Florida Bebdias, Gisela Sanchez, said the sale was made to Swiss imported Introdrink, who plans to offer the beer as a “premium” product.

“We want Imperial has a presence on every continent and this is the first step to sell in Europe,” said Sanchez.

Currently, outside of Costa RIca, the Imperial brand is available in the United States, Australia and China.
