QCOSTARICA – The body of Beger Jonas Maximilian, the German firefighter who went missing Quepos on Sunday, was found earlier today.

The Cruz Roja (Red Cross) reports divers located the body at 9:38am, some 9 metres (20 feet) submerged in a pool of the Portalón river, where he was last seen Sunday.  See story here.

The 21 year-old American, identified as Deon Donte Greene, who is believed to have been swept away while swimming in Playa Linda de Matapalo, Quepos, is still missing. Greene was last seen Sunday afternoon.

A total 87 people have died so far this year from water accidents, according to the Cruz Roja.
