QCOSTARICA SPORTS – Costa Rica’s national soccer team, La Sele, continued their start in World Cup 2018 qualifying, beating Panama 2-1 on Tuesday.
Goals by Bryan Ruiz and Marco Ureña half-way through the second half led the Ticos of the second win from their two games. The Ticos beat Haiti, in Costa Rica, last Friday.
The Costa Rican national team, quarter-finalists at World Cup Brazil 2014, are now leading Group B in CONCACAF group-stage qualifying for Russia 2018.
On the other hand, last night Panama failed to build on their opening-day win, in a game played in Panama’s Rommel Fernández stadium.
The next game will be on March 25, 2016, then the Ticos face Jamaica.
