A loss to Haiti pits Group B runner-up Costa Rica against Group A winner Mexico in the quarterfinal play of the Gold Cup (Copa Oro) on Saturday.
Mexico, the Gold Cup favorite, cruised through the group stage winning all three games, while Costa Rica struggles, finishing second behind Haiti. But Costa Rican won’t be an easy pass for the Mexicans.

Group B winner Haiti also will take on Group A runner-up Canada on Saturday in Houston.
Haiti closed group play with a 2-1 win over Costa Rica, while Canada’s only loss was a 3-1 to Mexico.
For the U.S. national team, a draw against Panama on Wednesday pits them against Curacao.
The U.S. finished group play with three wins, leaving them sitting top in Group D, and Panama finishing as the second-place team in the group.
Curacao, a team that had never scored a goal in the competition before 2019 but finish second in Group C will face Jamaica on Sunday in Philadelphia.
Jamaica and Panama will square off in the other quarterfinal on that side of the bracket, also on Sunday in Philadelphia, with the winner to face the winner of the USA vs Curacao in the semifinals.
The semifinal matchups will be held Tuesday, July 2 in Pheonix and Wednesday, July 3 in Nashville.
