QCOSTARICA – In 2016, Costa Rica will host Outsource2LAC, the most prominent Outsourcing and Offshoring forum in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), that brings together over 500 companies from the service industry.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade (COMEX), the Foreign Trade Promotion Office (PROCOMER) and the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE), announced that the Intern-American Development Bank (IDB) will be held in San Jose.

The decision was made official last week, during the fifth edition of the forum, held in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The forum offers participants the opportunity to learn about current trends in the global outsourcing industry and to expand their businesses worldwide.

This event has been held since 2011. First, Outsource2LAC was held in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 2012, the event was held in Medellin, Colombia; in 2013 Buenos Aires, Argentina; and in 2014 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Outsource2LAC has been able to gather more than 600 global services companies from more than 20 Latin American and the Caribbean countries and from the United States, Ireland, Spain, France, Egypt, India and The Philippines attended the forum.

In the four previous Outsource2LAC events, nearly $50 million worth of transactions were generated by more than 3,500 business meetings held during the forums.

“Our region’s world-class global services providers are earning increasing international recognition. Outsource2LAC, already a market benchmark, is testament to that,” said the IDB’s Trade and Investment Unit Chief Fabrizio Opertti, during the 2015 forum.
