Filling up your gas tank today is more expensive with the latest fuel increase that took effect at 12:01 am this Tuesday.

Super gasoline increased ¢18 colones per liter, plus (regular) ¢19 and diesel ¢18 colones.

With this increase, the price of a liter of super gasoline rose to ¢634 colones, that of plus to ¢616, and diesel to ¢551 colones.

According to Recope, this adjustment is a product of the rise in the international price of fuel and an increase in the exchange rate of the dollar.

Editor’s note: Recope please explain that last one, an increase in the dollar exchange rate?
