QCOSTARICA – The Legislative Commission analyzingthe problems of Puntarenas, is proposing a bill that seeks to reduce the fee charged by the Municipality of Esparza to tourists arriving on cruises to Puerto Caldera, from $3 to $1.50.

Last year 20 cruise ships arrived in Caldera, in many cases because other ports, where a lower fee is charged, they were busy.

The idea according to legislator for the Partido Liberacion Nacional (PLN) Karla Prendas, is to attract more tourists and thus achieve greater dockings.
