Q COSTA RICA — At two months into her term, Costa Rica’s President Laura Fernández Delgado remains one of the most highly regarded leaders in Latin America.
Fernández ranks third in the July 2026 Latin American Presidents Ranking compiled by the consulting firm CB Global Data, with a 55.5% approval rating.
Fernández is surpassed only by Nayib Bukele of El Salvador and Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico.

Delcy Rodríguez of Venezuela occupies the last place in the ranking.
According to the data, 31.6% of Costa Ricans consider Fernández’s image to be very good, while 23.9% rate it as good.
The survey was conducted between July 3 and 8, 2026, with a sample of 4,854 people and a margin of error of ±1.4 percentage points.
