The annual Miss Costa Rica pageant opened registration on Friday, looking for participants for the 2014 edition.
The requirements to participate in the contest are:
- Costa Rican national
- minimum height of 1.68 metres
- aged between 18 and 27 as of December this year
- single (never married) and without children
- be a student or university graduate
- have a basic knowledge of English
Participation in past contests is permitted, The deadline for registration is March 14
Televisora Costa Rica, operator of local television channel 7, Teletica, owns the franchise in Costa Rica for participation in the Miss Universe contest.
Miss Costa Rica 2013, Fabiana Granados, a native of Guanacaste, placed 16 of 89 candidates in the Miss Universe contest in Moscow.
