(QCOSTARICA) Starting August 2, 2015, Costa Ricans will no longer require a visa to travel to Peru.

The agreement signed by both countries on Wednesday seeks to promote the tourist flow between nations.

Currently, Ticos looking to travel to Peru must apply for a visa and fee of US$30.

The Consul of Peru in Costa Rica, Andres Garrido said in a previous interview with La Nacion, he asked that his country suppress visas last year and that the deals offered by Avianca and Copa Airlines for travel to Peru boosted the process.
