QCOSTARICA – Starting last Tuesday and continuing to March 31, 2016, the Playa Naranjo – Puntarenas ferry service has extended its hours, with four trips daily.
The ferry service said more trips may be added should the passenger demand increase.
The ferry will operates from Monday to Sunday at the following times:
From Puntarenas:
- 6:30am
- 10:00am
- 2:30pm
- 7:00pm
From Playa Naranjo:
- 8:00am
- 12:30pm
- 4:30pm
- 8:30pm
The one way trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
This ferry service connects the communities of the Nicoya Peninsula, such as Lepanto, Cabo Blanco and Jicaral with the port city of Puntarenas.
Cost is ¢1.000 colones for adult and ¢600 for children; passenger vehicle is ¢9.000 colones (driver can stay with car); motorcycle ¢3.000. For latest rates and times visit the Coonatramar website.
