COSTA RICA NEWS – Starting Tuesday (Sept. 23) and for the next six weeks the road to Monteverde, between Guacimal and Santa Elena, between 6:30am and 5:00pm.
The daily closures are due to excavation and installation of storm sewer pipes, says the Consejo Nacional de Vialidad (Conavi). The work is part of the road reconstruction to one of Costa Rica’s major tourist destination.
Recommended alternate routes are the road leading to Juntas de Abangares – ruta 145 – through Marsellesa to Dos de Tilarán, to Santa Elena.
Importantly, the alternate road is in good condition, says Eugenia Sequeira, project manager.
