COSTA RICA NEWS – Gasoline prices rose overnight: ¢5 colones per litre of super and regular and ¢3 colones for a litre of diesel.
The price at the pumps today is ¢779 for litre of super, ¢757 for regular (plus) and ¢669 for diesel.
The price of compressed natural gas that is used for cooking, ie gas stoves and bbqs (and some vehicles) increased ¢1, to ¢331 a litre.
The increase is due to an update of the “impuesto único”, a tax on fuel prices adjusted quarterly. This increase is for the third quarter of 2014.
