Vacationing in Costa Rica – What You Should Be Doing on Holiday

Costa Rica is a famous getaway spot due to its affordability, beauty, and number of accessible activities for tourists. The beautiful beaches may be what attracts some, but others come for the entertainment the destination offers.

If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica or by luck find yourself in the area, there are a few holiday activities you shouldn’t be passing up.

Check out some of the most popular vacationing activities listed by tourists and locals.

Gambling

The rainforest country hides a few humble casino establishments as well as casino and hotel resorts. Just off the coastline lies the breathtaking Crocs Resort and Casino and nestled within the resort’s walls are pools, lounges, bars and restaurants. A must try for any tourist passing through. Alternatively, you could try a new casino online while catching some sun on anyone of the Caribbean beaches.

Beach Activities

Being situated in the Caribbean means having a full day’s worth of summer weather. This is what attracts visitors to the shores of Costa Rica. As one could imagine, this is cause for plenty of beach activities, some of which includes:

  • Surfing
  • Water Sports
  • Yachting
  • Sea Tours

Ziplining

Ziplining is one of the famous activities in the country. This is mainly due to the magnificent views and the long ziplines available for the adrenaline junkie. The most popular destinations for this fun past time includes La Fortuna, Guanacaste, and Monteverde. But if you are in these areas, seek out adventure parks closer to you, there are several around Costa Rica. If you have a GoPro, be sure you pack it in because you wouldn’t want to miss out on this footage.

Private Boating

If you are looking for a more intimate exploration of the ocean and the views or you want a romantic experience, then private boat tours are your go to. Book a private tour of the magnificent views and create memories with your loved one they will never forget.

Road Trip

If you prefer to keep the sand out your shoes, move further inland and opt for a personal or guided road trip through the country to explore the rich culture of the land. This gives you the opportunity to stop at local diners and restaurants to explore the cuisine as well as the way of life through the country.

Mid Jungle Waterslide

This is one fast and crazy waterslide that has been built in the middle of the jungle. The slide is 400 meters long and is surrounded by lush rainforest. It is fast and fun and ideal for any speed enthusiast.

Costa Rica is filled with magic and it doesn’t take much to find something to do. In fact, there are so many activities you needn’t even book.

But we always say, its better safe than sorry so if you do go, do try and book.
