QCOSTARICA – It’s been more six months and two days since Yerelyn Guzman when missing. Today, police are no closer to knowing her whereabouts.

The only thing have authorities have a 25 year old man in custody who is alleged to be responsible for the disappearance of the six year old child, who went missing on July 11, 2014.

The man is a relative of the little girl’s father.

The Fiscalía de Heredia (Prosecutor’s office), who initially said all they had were suspicions of the man’s involvement in the disappearance, confirm they are now ready to proceed with an indictment.

On Thursday the courts will review the detention measures, and when prosecutors are expected to ask for another three months of detention while they prepare the case.

Authorities say they have sufficient evidence to support two charges against the accused man.
