The instruments of the Red Sismológica de la Universidad de Costa Rica recorded 27 tremors over the weekend, with magnitudes between 3.1 and 4.1 on the Richter Scale.
The stronges, 4.1, occurred Sunday at noon in the area of Lake Arenal, in La Fortuna de San Carlos.
Friday night, instruments recorded a 3.8 magnitude tremor in the Central Pacific. On Sunday, a 3.8 was recorded some 55 kilometres west of Conchal in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste.
Experts say the trmmors are a consequence of the 6.3 magnitude quake last Monday in Laurel de Corredores.
