“The event is born because after being close to approving the same-sex marriage in Costa Rica, many of the couples will want to marry,” said Villamil.

Featured will be national designer Fabricio Berrocal, as well as live music and shows, among others. “Normally it is known that the LGTBI population does not skimp and they want the best wedding, the best attire, the best honeymoon, the best hotels and (the best) places to get married,” added Villamil.

In event has the support of the Cámara de Comercio Diverso de Costa Rica (Costa Rican Diversity Chamber of Commerce), who make efforts to include Costa Rica in the world map of tourism and LGTBI.

The event website says: “The event is aimed at the LGTBI couples between 25 and 55 years old, both working, without children and high socioeconomic status. Mainly couples with a proactive lifestyle, looking for stability both familiar and sentimental and looking for new experiences.”
