(QVENEZUELA) The Communes and you, the dwellers of the Communes, are a prophecy by late leader Hugo Chavez, President Nicolas Maduro stated in this capital on Saturday. The head of State addressed a group of participants in the 1st National Meeting of Commune Dwellers, who met with him at the Miraflores Palace’s Ayacucho Hall, in downtown Caracas.
Maduro described Chavez as a prophet due to everything he wrote and bequeathed to the future, including the content of the well-known Blue Book where, among other things, the leader analyzed the new forms of government and “you were included there,” the president told the audience.
“Without the Communes, everything would end, they are the epicenter for human life, for life in socialism, so we need to learn deeply the concepts Chavez left us for posterity,” Maduro said.
The president called on the Commune dwellers to further study Chavez’s ideas and analyze his language, which broke paradigms in this nation, which the right wing wanted to grab later, as the Italian fascists and Adolf Hitler did in their time.
Maduro told the audience that they were at the forefront, because the government has to be communal and favor debate, it has to be on the streets.
The Commune councils have to be the most powerful instrument to build the Homeland’s Plan, from the bottom up, said the Venezuelan president.
