QCOSTARICA – Semana Santa (Holy Week), the annual commemoration of the Passion of Jesus Christ celebrated by Catholic religious, is known for its traditions that includes processions on the streets in towns and cities across the nation.

Speeding is one of the major cause of accidents. This driver was clocked at 151 km/h. There is not road in Costa Rica capable of permitting safely that speed.

Another tradition is heading out for the beaches and resorts. Any pool of water will do. Camping, surfing or taking a splash in the ocean is all part of the traditions. And so is the craziness and stupid things on the roads that leaves many injured and one too many a fatality.

Though not resulting in accident, is this stupid stunt in Playa El Jobo, where a beachgoer heading home decided to mount the spare wheel when there was no room inside.
