El Salvador dominates the overall medal of the tenth edition of the Central American Games which are taking place in San José.

The Salvadoran delegation has 17 gold medals, 13 silver and 16 bronze, followed by Guatemala, which has 15 gold, 21 silver and 20 bronze, while the hosts are third with 6, 15, and 10.

Belize is the only country in the region with no medals so far.
