QCOSTARICA – Three adult men and an adolescent have accused a 46-year-old Evangelical pastor in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste province, of touching their genitals with oil.

According to his accusors, he gave as an excuse that he was guided in the strange ritual by “divine visions” or instructions of God.

At least two of the accusers were deacons of the church and two were 35 years old, one 43 and one a 13-year-old adolescent.

Santa Cruz prosecutors are looking into the charges of sexual abuse and attempted rape.

The accusors say that the alleged events took place between 2007 and 2013 the Iglesia del Evangelico Completo in Buenos Aires, Santa Cruz.

According to the document signed by the accusors, prosecutor Manrique Morales told La Nacion, the plaintiffs say that the pastor told them that the unique ritual would increase his “power” within the congregation. The accusers also allege that the pastor not only exerted spiritual power over them but economic as well.

One accuser stated that the the pastor performed a circumcision and performed a sexual act with oil as well as alleging one evening that he had seen demons and a snake coiled around the accusor’s genitals.

Another accuser told of having been frightened by the pastor’s claim that his genitals were “bewitched” so that he submitted to sexual advances.

Likewise, the minor said that the pastor had abused him when he came to confess his sins.
