Some 532 kilometres from the Pacific Coast, Presidenta Laura Chinchilla preferred the solitude of Isla del Coco and far away from the people to celebrate Juan Santamaría day on April 11. Traditionally the presidents heads the celebrations in Alajuela, home of Costa Rica’s hero.
