(Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Hugo Martinez, confirmed that representatives of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador will hold a meeting in Washington with Vice President Joseph Biden, on February 24.

At the meeting they will review the progress of the agreements reached in the plan called Alliance for the prosperity of the Northern Triangle of Central America.

This plan provides five-year solutions in regions of these countries identified as needed of attention and sources of the largest number of migrants to the United States.

Within the guidelines excels energizing the productive sector of the three countries to create economic opportunities for human capital, improve public safety, access to justice and strengthening of institutions to increase public confidence in the state.

The US Congress approved $750 million to start up the Alliance for Prosperity.
