Legislators have appointe attorney Nancy Hernández López as magistrate to the Sala Constitucional or Sala IV (Constitutioanl Court), fillcing the vacancy by the death of Luis Pualino Mora last February.
Hernández had been Mora’s assistant for years. Mora was Chief Magistrate of the Supreme Court and member of the Constitutional Court.
All 44 of the 53 legislators of the eight political parties, in session today, voted for Hernández.
