Costa Rica News & Events – About a week ago I had the pleasure of going out and playing the Iguana Course located at the Marriott Los Suenos Resort & Marina located just outside of Jaco in Playa Herradura. As I tee’d off at the gorgeous par 5 starting hole I knew I was in for a great day and it was.
For anyone that has not had the pleasure of playing this course it is worth a trip to experience the sheer beauty of the Par 72 course located next to the Pacific Ocean. If you are in Costa Rica in February you can also take part on one of their events.
The Links & Laces tour is back in Costa Rica. It will be coming to Costa Rica for Presidents Day weekend, February 15-17, 2014. This event at the prestigious Los Suenos Resort in Jaco, Costa Rica has limit space available. In order to solidify your spot, register today.
If you should wish to add accommodations or services like airport transfers to your package, that can be arranged. Accommodations sell out quickly in February, but registered golfers have priority.
The event is the 3rd Links and Laces Golf Tour to take place in the country and it has been a huge success each time it has been held on the shore of the land of Pura Vida. The long weekend will start off with a cocktail reception to welcome to you Los Suenos the home to a marina, casino, fine restaurants, and tropical nightlife.
The tournament is a 2 man scramble with prizes and added activities, like twister with the Girls of Golf. You can win free nights at the resort, the million dollar shootout, or the $10,000 putting contest. Other prizes include free rounds of golf, free ATV tours, and gift certificates for Lindora Golf.
The cost per player is $395, which includes a VIP party, golf, and the awards ceremony. This cost does not cover travel or accommodations. The VIP concierge service Tee Times Costa Rica is in charge of arranging accommodations.
The VIP Player’s Party will start at 5 pm on the 15th. The actual golf event starts the following day, with registration at 10:30 and the Shotgun Start at noon, after lunch. The awards dinner is expected to take place around 5 at night, or directly after the contests conclude.
