COSTA RICA NEWS – Aficionados will have to have a little more patience today, waiting up to a couple of hours more as the flight carrying Costa Rica’s national football team is delayed.
Avianca’s flight LR7644 was to have arrived at 12:20pm. The airline says it will now be arriving at 2:13pm. Click here to check the flight status.
Weather permitting, the flight will be making a flyover of the airport to give fans a chance to wave their flags from down below and take pictures.

Organizers say that celebration plans will continue as planned with some slight delays.
People are asked to wear head covering to avoid heat stroke and rain gear, in case it rains.
