On November 21, 2019, American Airlines will begin operating a new flight between San Jose and New York, and in December another flight between Liberia and New York will begin.
The flight connecting San Jose will be daily, departing from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) at 3:59 pm and arriving at Juan Santamaría (SJO) at 9:42 pm, the return leaving Costa Rica at 11:03 pm and arriving in New Tork at 5:19 am.
The New York (JJF) and Liberia (LIR) flights will operate only on Saturdays, leaving John F. Kennedy Airport at 7 am to arrive in Liberia at 10:55 am, the return leaves Costa Rica t 11:04 am and arrives in New York at 4:59 pm.
All times are local, New York is currently two ahead of Costa Rica and then one hour when the US returns to Standard Time. Costa Rica does not observe Daylight Savings Time.
