TODAY NICARAGUA NEWS — Nicaragua has exceeded 1 million visits by foreign tourists, confirmed Mayra Salinas, president of the Instituto Nicaragüense de Turismo (Intur) – Nicaraguan Tourism Board.
“Preliminarily we had 965.369 tourists at the end of September, a growth of 7.1 per cent, equivalent to 64,063 people over the same period last year,” said Salinas.
The Intur president recalled that the goal for this year to be generated by the tourist sector is US$440 million dollars. The Intur said it reached US$210 million in the first half of the year.
