The 2016 Marchamo is payable by December 31 on the registered vehicles in the country.
The 2016 Marchamo is payable by December 31 on the 1,344,836 registered vehicles in the country.

QCOSTARICA – With less than week to go before the dealine, about only half of vehicle owners have paid the 2016 Marchamo.

According to figures provided by the Instituto Nacional de Seguros (INS), at the close of business Wednesday, the 20156 Marchamo had been paid on only 677,000 or the 1,344,836 registered vehicles.

The Marchamo is due payable by December 31, after which it will accrue interest and late payment penalties.

Drivers, beginning on January 1, behind the wheel of a vehicle without the 2016 Marchamo will be exposed to a fine and possible confiscation of license plates or vehicle.

The 2016 Marchamo can be paid at any financial instituion and selected INS offices across the country.
