COSTA RICA NEWS – The Fuerza Publica (police) report their third seizure of contraband Selección shirts coming into Costa Rica.
The latest haul was of 117 shirts of Costa Rica’s World Cup team near the southern border in Golfito, destined for the Central Valley market where they would be sold for between ¢12.000 and ¢14.000 colones each.
During the week, authorities say they confiscated similar contraband in two separate seizures, of more than 600 imitation shirts of poor quailty.
The shipments were believed to be coming in from Panama.
