QCOSTARICA POLITICS – Legislators for the Partido Liberación Nacional (PLN) told President Luis Guillermo Solís that the Minister of the Presidency Melvin Jimenez has to go, if he wants to continue good relations with the legislative group.

The legislative group, headed by Juan Luis Jiménez and Karla Prendas, met Wednesday night at Casa Presidencial with Solis and Jimenez.

Despite the request, Solis insisted that Jimenez is staying, reiterating his confidence in his minister and asserted that Jimenez is government’s voice with the Legislative Assembly.

“He will be responsible for the overall conduct of relations with the Legislature,” said Solís.
