QCOSTARICA – The state telecom, Radiografica Costarricense (Racsa) has returned a block of frequencies for telecommunications services that it was not using, reports El Financiero.
This was confirmed by Deputy Minister of Telecommunications, Emilio Arias, and Racsa general manager, Francisco Calvo.
Both denied that the partial return of spectrum will affect compliance with Racsa’s concession.
Calvo acknowledged that it will result in a reduction in the amount to be paid annually for radiofrequency spectrum use. He added that the company does not plan to surrender more radio spectrum.
