Q COSTA RICA — Supermarket purchases, buying food at a local shop, and paying for a hotel stay are among the transactions reportedly made by the woman suspected of murdering an American man in Playas del Coco, Guanacaste.
The Orgamismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) is tracking her movements following the victim’s death.
According to the investigation, the woman—a resident of San José—is the prime suspect in the homicide of an elderly American man named Fleming, which took place at a condominium in Sardinal de Carrillo.
Inquiries suggest the suspect used a glass blender jar to strike the victim multiple times.
Authorities have been tracking her movements and attempting to locate her since September 27. Information gathered indicates that the woman entered the property with the American man, later left alone, and got into a passenger vehicle.
After the crime, she used the victim’s credit cards to make various purchases, which allowed investigators to reconstruct part of her route.
