TODAY VENEZUELA – To alleviate the power crisis the country is facing, President Nicolás Maduro on Thursday informed that April 18 will be a non-working day for the public sector and schools nationwide.

Also for energy saving purposes, next May 1 Venezuela will change its current time zone, in order “to tackle the El Niño.”

Maduro welcomed at the Miraflores presidential palace, in downtown Caracas, hundreds of government supporters refusing a law –passed by the opposition – controlled National Assembly – that grants title deeds to people who have been given dwellings under the Great Mission Housing Venezuela, by the National Housing Institute and the National Housing Council.
