QCOSTARICA – The pharmaceutical GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) announced Tuesday it is creating 150 jobs in its customer service centre in the next 18 months. The company says it will be looking for staff in administration, accounting, information technology and engineering.

The GSK facility is located in the Terra Campus, next to Terra Mall, in Tres Rios de Cartago.

Alexander Mora, Minister of Foreign Trade, said the announcement meets the expectations that more company will continue to grow and expand and the 150 jobs by GSK is in addition to the 400 announced last week by the software development company, Avantica.

“We are expanding our operations in Costa Rica and plan to provide services and SAP Information Technology globally, ” said Esteban Coronado, director of GSK Services Costa Rica.

GSK has offices in over 115 countries and employs over 100,000 people.
