TODAY COLOMBIA – In January domestic production exceeded one million bags each weighing 60 kilos, making this the the best monthly result in the last seven years.

From a statement issued by the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia:

Colombia continues to consolidate itself as the first producer of mild washed arabica coffee in the world, a result of the coffee renovation program undertaken by the union in the past five years which has led the country having coffee production which is younger, more technical, and better adapted to meet the challenges of climate variability and pests.
