Costa Rica did the impossible, downing Italy 1-0, the second world champion in as many games and advancing to the round of 16.
The photos show the scene in just one corner of Costa Rica, in front of Plaza Mayor, across from the QCostarica offices. The same is being repeated across the country, with horns blowing, flags waving and people screaming at the top of their lungs.
This is one big party, a party that will probably last all weekend.
