(QCOSTARICA SPORTS) Costa Ricans Natalia Alfaro and Karen Cope were crowned the Central American beach volleyball champions, by winning in the tournament held in Puero Cortés, Honduras, according to the Costa Rica Olympic Committee (Comité Olímpico de Costa Rica – CON).

The Costa Rica team defeated Nicaragua 21-11, says the CON bulletin sent to the Costa Rica media Monday night.

Competing  in the tournament were teams from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala.
