QCOSTARICA – While authorities in Costa Rica wait on information to identify the woman caught on a security camera stealing a flat screen in a Guapiles store, by placing it between her legs and walking out the store, the 13 second video has gone viral around Latin America.

On YouTube, the video has (as of this afternoon Wednesday) more than 585.000 views.

Beyond the crime, the video has caught the attention of the media in Latin America – and perhaps beyond – of the “skill” in which the woman grabbed the flat screen and walked away within seconds.

The Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) – Costa Rica Judicial agents, released the video on the hopes of information leading to the identity and whereabouts of the woman.

A local Spanish language newspaper, La Teja, is calling the woman “tragateles” (swallower of televisions, the best translation we can offer).
