Wednesday morning President Luis Guillermo Solis received at his office a “una imposición de manos” (laying of hands) in the middle of a prayer by evangelical pastors and members of the Alianza Evangélica Costarricense, calling themselves “apostles”.

The prayer included “asking God to give you wisdom so you do the best for the country” in the two years and three months left in your presidency.

“It was an act of good will,” said legislator for the Restauración Nacional party, Fabricio Alvarado, who said the meeting was requested by the block of Christian legislators.

In addition to the laying of hands, the “apostles” asked the President to read the Bibtle, a gift they brought, said Renovación Costarricense party legislator, Abelino Esquivel.
