Next week we can expect a drop in gasoline prices, following the approval by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) of ¢26 colones per litre for super, ¢24 for regular and ¢13 for diesel fuel.
Once the price takes effect the following the publicatin of the notice in La Gaceta, the price at the pumps will be ¢667 for super, ¢651 for regular and ¢619 for diesel.
However, the price of natural gas or propane, used mostly in kitchens across the country, will increase ¢9 colones a litre.
The change in prices is expected to be sent to the “official printer” on Friday, which then has at least three business days before publishing.
Fuel prices in Costa Rica are regulated by the Aresep and sold at all gasoline stations (and pulperias in the case of natural gas) at the same price across the country.
