Javier Sandomingo, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, and to the SICA, said more than 50 foreign companies are expected to participate in the event.

“Euroferia is a natural space for the EU to continue working at local and regional level in promoting the advantages and opportunities of the partnership agreement ADA,” said Sandomingo.

From a statement issued by the European Union:

The main objective of EUROFERIA 2015 is to contribute to the dissemination of its efforts in the EU to promote a model of inclusive and sustainable development through cooperation and, in the case of Central America through the Association Agreement (AA) which sets out the framework for the expansion and deepening of political, commercial and cultural relations between the two regions.

With EUROFERIA, the EU also seeks to provide information about the results and impact of cooperation in CA and Nicaragua in particular; encouraging participation, critical thinking and active interest in development cooperation.
