QCOSTARICA – Eight out of ten in Costa Rica believe the coming six months is not a good time to buy a car or a house, meaning ony 2 out of 10 have confidence to make a major purchase, according to the Consumer Confidence Index (Índice de Confianza del Consumidor in Spanish) by the School of Statistics of the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR).
UCR researcher, Johnny Madrigal, said the expectation of owners percentage points worse than a year ago.
The Index is a quarterly study conducted by the university. The latest results takes in the response from 711 families across the country interviewed by telephone between November 3 and 18.
