QCOSTARICA – The First National Meeting of the Order of “Consecrated Virgins” of the Costa Rica Catholic Church will be held on Saturday, January 9, at the central campus of the Tecnológico de Costa Rica (ITCR) in Cartago.
According to the Communication Commission of the Cartago diocese, the religious event will start 8am.
The meeting will also be attended by Bishops who make the Episcopal Conference headed by the archbishop of San Jose, José Rafael Quirós.
Precisely, the Archdiocese of San Jose and the Diocese of Cartago, led by Bishop Jose Francisco Ulloa, are contributing most “consecrated virgins” in our country.
The meeting is expected to be attended by around 100 people.
Apart from the purely spiritual, there will be testimonies of women who have many years of the consecration of Christian and Catholic faith.
Also attending the meeting two US consecrated virgins, who will speak of the Orders in that country and their experiences.
The “consecrated virgins” Costa Ricans are about 50 and come from both urban and rural areas, some of them professionals in various field.
