COSTA RICA NEWS – A star of the World Cup 2014, Keylor Navas, is being honoured by his home town, Pérez Zeledón, with the renaming of the town’s stadium from simply the Estadio Municipal, to the Estadio Municipal Keylor Navas Gamboa.

Navas proved to be one the best goalkeepers in World Cup 2014 play in Brazil, leading Costa Rica’s national team to five consecutive unbeaten games.

“The decision to rename the stadium was to honour his sporty performance and excellent participation in the WorldCup,” said Geiner Alvarado, alderman for the canton.
