The debates are organized by the Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones (TSE) and will be broadcast live on channel 13, the state run SINART television network. Each debate is set to run for 2 hours.

The debates are open to the public who can send in questions by way of the social media, Facebook and Twitter.

Candidates will first respond to the questions prepared by a group of academics and professionals selected by the TSE and then to questions posted on the social media and chosen by organizers to be the most relevant. In the last round of the debate, candidates can ask each other questions chosen from a draw minutes ahead of the start of the debate.
