Solís Says “Unlikely” Meeting With Obama

Although it appears “unlikely”, President Luis Guillermo Solís does notc rule out a face-to-face meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama next week. The President will be in the U.S. from June 6 to 13.

The President said since his trip is short it is unusual for Obama to meet other leaders in the U.S on a working visit.

In his days in the United States, Solís will be visit Washington D.C., New York and San Francisco, to meet with senior officials of the U.S. State Department and businessmen and bankers.

In Washington, Solís will be the keynote speaker of the Business Forum of the Americas, Organization of American States (OAS).

The President made his statments at a press conference Tuesday afternoon, at Casa Presidencial, following a cabinet meeeing.
