So tight is security that not even night school students have been able to enter the Institute for classes. Tatiana Zuñiga, speaking for the parents, says they want the teacher to leave her post at the school.

Spokesman for the students, Jonathan Sossa, confirmed Zuñiga’s version and added that the student would not permit replacement of the school’s director, just the offending teacher. The fifth year student said that he and 2,000 other students want to see her reassigned to another school.

Press officer of the Eduction Ministry, Esteban Azofeifa, said that the case has been transferred to the discipline section of the ministry. “Right now, what I know is that the teacher is on sick leave until April 21,” said Azofeifa.
